Zoho is an umbrella brand under which you’ll find software intended to help you manage many different parts of your business. We’ve already reviewed [Zoho CRM] and [Zoho Books]. Zoho People is the company’s HR offering.
Zoho sell themselves on the basis that you can run your entire business within their ecosystem of apps. If you’re concerned about interoperability, you can safely assume that all of Zoho’s apps will ‘play nicely’ together.
Zoho People includes all of the basics you’d expect to see in HR software, including an employee database, time off tracking, and an attendance ledger. You can also use it as a platform through which to manage performance reviews and generate HR reports. Zoho People also offers a self-service portal, enabling your employees to interact directly with the platform.
However, there are some functions that Zoho People lacks. You cannot, for example, track applicants in the app while you’re hiring. The software is also missing benefits management functions, and payroll support (although you might well be running payroll through your accounting package).
Zoho People is available for free for up to five users, with additional employees charged at £0.80 per employee.
